What is an accumulator, or acca?

Four or more picks in one bet. Every pick must win. Small stakes, big returns and the reason for most groans in the pub at 4.50 on a Saturday.

In practice

Example: a £5 four-fold on four teams all at evens returns £80 if all four win (£5 doubled four times). If one loses, the whole bet loses. Accas are popular because a small stake can return a lot, but every extra leg makes winning less likely.

The Funteron way: fans should not need to know any of this to have a bet. Funteron is designed to show every bet in plain words and in money: what it costs, what comes back if it wins and what you lose if it does not.
