How does a free bet work?
A bet you place with the bookmaker's money rather than your own.
In practice
A free bet is placed with the bookmaker's money. Most are "stake not returned": a £10 free bet that wins at 3/1 pays £30, not £40, because the £10 free bet is not given back. Check the minimum odds and expiry date.
The Funteron way: fans should not need to know any of this to have a bet. Funteron is designed to show every bet in plain words and in money: what it costs, what comes back if it wins and what you lose if it does not.
